Ecem began her career in Canada as a financial security advisor after graduating from McGill University with a degree in Economics and French Language and Literature, and continued her studies in Project Management at HEC Montréal. She later moved into insurance and reinsurance, managing corporate accounts at Oyak Group Insurance and Reinsurance. She joined Lockton Omni in February 2026.
